About me
I have been the CEO since September 2020, prior to that having been a School Development Lead and Headteacher within the Trust. Before entering the teaching profession in 1994 I had spent 9 years leading voluntary organisations in Hull and SE London in the areas of substance misuse, HIV/AIDS, unemployment and homelessness. In 1993 I spent two weeks volunteering in two primary schools in Brixton which quickly led to a decision to enrol as a PGCE student at Hull University where I gained a double distinction. He taught at two Hull primary schools and one in the East Riding before gaining the Headship at Ings Primary in 2012.
I have strengths in strategic thinking and curriculum development and am directly responsible for;
- Strategic Vision & Direction;
- Educational Outcomes across the Trust;
- Financial Probity of Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust – as accounting officer;
- Gatekeeping Thrive’s values.
