e-Learning package accompanied by individual learning events informed by Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (When Appropriate).

Target group

All practitioners and managers who make referrals to Targeted Early Help Services and EHASH and are involved in recruiting, supervising and support staff, volunteers and foster carers.

Learning pathway

Before attending this course participants must have attended Safeguarding Children – A Shared Responsibility.

Course aims
  • Understand the process of Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews and the National Panel
  • Disseminate the learning and recommendations from Local and National Local Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews
Course objectives

By the end of the briefing participants will -

  • have an awareness of the Local Child Safeguarding Practice Review process and associated procedures
  • have an awareness of the National Panel
  • explored learning from local and national child safeguarding practice reviews
  • identified how the learning from both local and national reviews impacts on individual practice.
